Design Principle Task 2

Design Principle Task 2 ( Visual Analysis )

Phase1

There is a man and a woman sitting on an unequal sign, both adorned in identical office uniforms. Moreover, they sit in stark contrast, with the man facing towards the left while the woman gazes towards the right. The unequal sign, distinguished by its differing color and darker double line, signifies the essence of inequality, with its underlying implications echoing the disparity between the two individuals positioned upon it.(69word)

Phase2

The design principles infused into the artwork encompass Contrast and Asymmetrical Balance. Contrast is exemplified through the unequal sign, where the darkness of the "qual" sign sharply contrasts with the lighter hue of the slash, effectively drawing attention to the imbalance depicted. Asymmetrical Balance is skillfully employed to enhance visual interest, ensuring that the composition remains dynamic and engaging. Additionally, subtle details such as the fluttering tie worn by the man introduce a sense of movement, injecting vitality into the scene while further reinforcing the theme of disparity and dynamism within the piece(93word)

In the artist's unique style, they create a digital poster that speaks volumes about the inequalities still prevalent in our society. Through vibrant colors like sunny yellow and deep blue, the artwork bursts with life, drawing us in with its energy and vitality. Yet, amidst this vivid palette, there's a subtle but powerful message conveyed through the unequal positioning of a man and a woman on the sign.

The man, represented as slightly elevated, reflects the societal norm where men often hold higher status than women. It's a reflection of the world as it is today, where gender disparities persist despite progress. But the artist doesn't stop there. They infuse the piece with movement, like the fluttering of the man's tie, adding a touch of humanity and dynamism to the scene.

Through this artwork, the creator doesn't just showcase their talent but also invites us to reflect on the inequalities that still shape our perceptions and interactions. It's a call to action, wrapped in bright colors and bold contrasts, urging us to envision a world where equality isn't just an ideal but a reality for all.
